bidirectional writing
On this page I want to collect some information about bidirectional writing[de]. Many people need it to write Hebrew or Arabic words in a Latin (German, English, ...) context or vice versa.
The goal is to know or to have a word processor with complete bidirectional writing support. The best would be to have it on MacOSX
On the classic MacOS (9 and lower) there was Nisus Writer, which does this task excellent, but in the new MacOSX Version there is nothing left of this functionality. I also don't know a suitable solution for Linux or Windows.
At the moment I try to get some information on writing a plugin for OpenOffice.org in python.
